One thing that I notice again and again from experienced artists, as well as those just entering into their artistic journey, is this: so many of them struggle to create meaningful art because they are creating from their head instead of creating from their Soul.
This might seem like a minor detail, but when it comes to creating artwork that really resonates, I have found it to be an absolute requirement. Our modern society with its tech adoration and inability to sit still is of course part of the problem, but a more insidious problem is really the true culprit...
That insidious problem is that very few of us anymore know ourselves on a deep and meaningful level.
This deep dive into our messy, contradictory, shame infested - but utterly, gloriously divine and eternal - self is where the good stuff is. And tapping into THAT is what will guarantee a meaningful work of art.
These classes are not art therapy per se, but in my humble opinion, all great art dips its toes in those waters.
So if you are looking for a way to really reconnect with yourself (or add more depth into your current art practice), and have a ton of fun in the process, then I'd love to have you in one of my next sessions of Expressive Collage classes.
These classes can be taken as a full series, or you can pop into which ever ones resonate with you most (after completing Class 1 & 2).
